“Discriminate”는 무언가를 구별하거나, 식별하는 것을 뜻한다. 또한, 누군가를 차별하는 것을 뜻하기도 한다.
그래서, 인종차별을 영어로는 “Racial Discrimination”이라고 하는데, “Discrimination”은 “Discriminate”의 명사형이다.
