“Indemnify”는 주로 법률 문서나 계약서 등에서 찾아볼 수 있는 단어라고 할 수 있다. 의미는 “보상[배상]을 약속하다.” 혹은 “배상하다, 보상하다”라는 뜻으로 쓰인다.
