“Resolve”는 격식체로 쓰이는 단어이다. 이는 어떤 문제 등을 해결하거나, 굳게 다짐하거나, 위원회 등에서 의결하는 것을 뜻한다.
명사로 쓰이기도 하는데, 명사로 쓰이는 경우에는 “단호한 결심, 의지”를 뜻한다.
