신비주의(神祕主義)는 철학적인 용어로 우주를 움직이는 신비스러운 힘의 감지자인 신이나 존재의 궁극 원인과의 합일은 합리적 추론이나 정하여진 교리 및 의식의 실천을 통하여서는 이루어질 수 없고 초이성적 명상이나 비의(祕儀)를 통하여서만 가능하다고 보는 종교나 사상을 뜻한다.
이러한 신비주의 사상을 영어로는 “Mysticism”이라고 한다.
