“Saturate”은 다양한 의미로 쓰이는 동사이다. 이는 기본적으로 물에 흠뻑 적시는 것을 의미하는데, 비유적으로 어떤 것이 충분히 배어드는 것을 의미하기도 한다.
혹은 무언가로 채우는 것을 뜻하기도 하는데, 어떤 것이 차고 넘치는 것을 의미하기도 한다. 그래서 경우에 따라서 시장에 물건이 차고 넘치는 과잉 공급 상태를 뜻하기도 한다.
