신기루(蜃氣樓)는 대기 속에서 빛의 굴절 현상에 의하여 공중이나 땅 위에 무엇이 있는 것처럼 보이는 현상을 뜻한다. 이러한 신기루를 영어로는 “Mirage”라고 한다.
