“Filler”는 무언가 채워넣는 것을 말한다. 그래서 우리말로는 “충전재” 혹은 “채우기 위한 것”을 뜻한다고 볼 수 있다. 특히, 이는 공간이나 시간을 채우기 위한 어떤 중요하지 않은 것을 가리키기도 한다.
